The involvement of the male kindergarteners in the preschool education nowadays is no longer a theoretical problem but a subjective existence, and it is still on the rise now. As a profession group, male kindergarteners now are playing more and more important roles in the kindergartener education, but the research into such a phenomenon is insufficient. Due to this, the author of this article intends to research into the preschool education and tries to contribute a little to its development.First, to start with its significance, the author has come to a conclusion that most of the present researches into the role of the male kindergarteners are only limited in a very narrow scope. And most of the articles on this subject are only appealing, merely expounding and proving the important role of the male kindergarteners in the preschool education and the serious problems resulting from their absence. They did not study on the male kindergarteners from the aspect of professional development, not to mention the supporting data about their current professional development. This article aims at studying the current situation of the male kindergarteners as a professional group by the means of making questionnaires having interviews and quoting valuable documents.Chapter I reflect on the development of the socialized preschool education in modern times and the emergence of male kindergarteners. Chinese socialized preschool education was imported. The earliest male kindergarteners were the priests teaching in the schools run by the churches and it was not until 1920~1930 that the male kindergarteners who ran kindergartens appeared. Mr Zhang-zonglin was considered as the first male kindergartener who received higher education in China. Chapter II argues why males are suitable for preschool education both theoretically and practically. It is believed that males have their own psychological superiorities in their personalities and it is necessary for the kindergartens to employ some males to make the children grow healthily. And current situation has proved that male kindergarteners have a promising prospect. The administrators, female kindergarteners, the kids and their parents all take positive attitudes to the entering of the male in preschool education. Chapter III investigates into the current situation of the male kindergarteners in China: male kindergarteners are not highly accepted by the society; the involvement of male kindergarteners in the preschool education now is quite a hot controversial topic; male kindergarteners are small in number, out of proportion, not evenly distributed, short in professional career, highly mobile, always on the hop and so on.In chapter conclusion and advice, the author considers the development of the male kindergarteners on a rational basis. He points out that the male kindergarteners are not the decoration .they can not replace the important role of females in preschool education. As a profession, being a male kindergartener has a promising prospect. However, all of us should work hard promote its development.
