Calisthenics is an athletic sport at the basic of aerobics, and it is characteristics of health, strength, and aesthetics. Calisthenics has strong impact and expressive force because its activity and rhythm are very strong at the exception of bright music. It has the good function on improving body quality, cultivating the esthetical ability, rectifying figure and adjusting psychology.The paper systemically and scientifically studies and analyzes the status quo of calisthenics course in model high schools in Daqing city according to the investigations by literatures, questionnaires, mathematical statistics and so on. The following weaknesses of the calisthenics course of model high schools in Daqing city are drawn based on the results of investigation among 100 teachers and 700 students. The teaching mode of model high schools in Daqing city is passivity. Teachers just pay more attention teaching, and neglect increasing students'enthusiasm and cultivating their innovation ability during the calisthenics course. The teaching content is single. Teachers do not introduce relating athletics items, such as body-training, art education and so forth, into calisthenics teaching to stir up the students'interest and make the teaching more effective. The method of teaching is behind the times. The tradition teaching method, which teachers'personal-demonstration and explain take on the important role, dominates the calisthenics course, while the modern education means and methods are not used. The educational assessment system is unscientific and very formulaic, and it neglects the influence of calisthenics to the physical and psychological make-up of high school students. Calisthenics teachers require the professional education, and their professional qualify is poor in some degree. The calisthenics educational facilities of model high schools in Daqing city are simple and crude. and the investments of calisthenics are not enough.Furthermore, the paper systemically analyzes the factors that preclude the development of the calisthenics of model high school in Daqing city. The conclusions were drawn according to opinions from teachers and students who are investigated about the development of the calisthenics courses of the model high schools in Daqing city. The main factors that preclude the development of the calisthenics are the lagging of the education reform, the neglect of the leadership, and short of the facilities. Finally, the new teaching method that can cater to the need of cultivation of the talents with innovation and suit the characteristics of the model high schools in Daqing city according to the result of investigation of the status quo of calisthenics course of the model high schools in Daqing city and based on the modern educational theories and the innovation teaching.. |
