Reading Teaching is one of the cores in Junior Chinese Teaching. The Task of Reading Teaching is always to make the students acquire stable foundation and skills in Chinese, to develop their imaginative and logical thinking which can improve their good moral character by comprehending the contents and its expression styles in the thinking activities and handling with the whole and cultivating the sense of language on the base of understanding the teaching material. However, influenced by the traditionally test-oriented education in recent years, Chinese teaching tended to pay so much attention to knowledge and emphasis on rudimentary knowledge that the teaching was, inevitably, led to mechanical learning by rote and one-way infusion teaching. The students' reading motivation and interests were weakened and so was their ability of imaginative thinking.A new round of basic educational reforms focus on training students' creative and practical ability. So that the teacher can guide the students to associate and try to develop their ability of imaginative thinking. In the last chapter, the author points out the problems that teachers can meet in the process of teaching.
