The globalization of higher education is an inexorable trend brought about by the economy globalization. Currently, the main developed countries have led the world in the process of the international higher education and have become the main import countries of service trade in higher education for their economic strength and dominant educational resources. China, as a developing country, is short in high quality educational resources compared to the developed countries. In order to speed up the globalization process of China's higher education, Chinese-foreign cooperative running of schools has become one of the key means to realize the globalization of China's higher education.The condition of running schools in cooperation in Fujian Province has lagged behind from many aspects. This situation is extremely inconsistent with Fujian's geographical position and its regional economic conditions. At present, many provinces in China attach great importance to the globalization process of their provincial education. They actively conduct cooperation in running schools with foreign countries, laying stress in not only theoretical exploration but also practice expansion. Therefore, to gear its education to the world and the future, Fujian's education must reform its conventional, simplified and closed schooling pattern, compile with the grand trend of internationalized higher education and take the way to running schools in cooperation with foreign countries, grasp the opportunities and address challenges. Thus, Fujian may gradually upgrade its international competitiveness of higher education and cultivate more talents wanted in line with international practice for the construction of the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits.This paper, based on the relatively all-round researches on the case study of Fujian's cooperation with foreign countries in running schools, has analyzed the development course, current situation, characteristics, operational mechanism and the main existing problems of its Chinese-foreign cooperative running schools. Meanwhile, it comes up with some countermeasures to promote Fujian's cooperation with foreign countries in running schools and to develop the globalization faster and more healthy.In this paper, Many research methods are used such as History Research Method, Comparative Method, Statistical Analytical Method, Method of Questionnaire Survey, Method of Document Retrieval, Discussion and Interview, etc , which have more theoretical innovation and practical value in upgrading the international competitiveness of Fujian's higher education.
