With the rapidly developing of the TV, broadcast and the internet, the teenagers have no longer landed themselves in the antiquated passive position, but have been in the entertainment boom. They can not only take part in person, but also have their hands in the voting by telephone, internet and SMS. They have played a great role in that way.The author have divided the numerous entertainments into two kinds, which is demonstrate-mode and support-mode. Both blogging in the web and participating the idol-making show are considered to be the demonstrate-mode. And the support-mode implies voting, calling the hot-line to discuss and showing their opinions in the relevant BBS.By the questionnaire and the random interview, we could easily find that both the participations involve different consumption behaviors. For this reason, the author has compared and analyzed the youth's two kinds of taking part in the entertainment with the Consumption& Identification theory in this article.Demonstrate-mode would make the teenagers feel identification and self-identification. In the Symbol Consumption Theory, consumption is a symbol behavior; it can satisfy not only physical demand but also the mental demand. The author believes that either the participation in idol-making show or expression in the internet is the symbol consumption. They are also mental consumptions that purchasing for the competition needs or owning personal website etc. Teenagers would come under the jurisdiction of the inside identification, and at the same time they would also get the outside identification from the platform made by the society-- which means the youth's selection fits the social standard.As to the support-mode, it makes the youth get the emotional identification during the consumption. The author thinks that the youth's consumption in participation in entertainments is not necessary and invisible. The youth can make new friends, talk to each other and get the emotional identification mentioned above by this kind of consumption. To be a psychological experience, emotion is both individual and social. And therefore emotion can be communicated by some group ways, which are the unity of the technical measure and the social form of the emotional communication. In addition, emotion also needs a social support, which means people pour out their hearts to others, get the consolations and dependence from them. Mass Communication is the network of the social support with emotion; it spreads ideals, values and emotion by the program or special column, so that Mass Communication becomes the people's emotional and psychological dependence in their leisure time. The market forms of the social support with emotion involve pop cultural industry, entertainment industry, mass communication industry and the internet industry. The teenagers get the emotional compensation and happiness during the process.These activities embody the cultural logic, and all of them are anti-tradition and abnormal. Idol making show is particular, it refuses modernism and elite culture and advocates the civil culture which is anti-modern. This popular and participatory activity makes entertainment seem not far any longer. Moreover, the teenagers are exactly the passion ones. It happens frequently that the young notice the positive side of things but ignore the negative side. So that with Consumption& Identification theory, this author analyses the demonstrate mode and support mode for the youth's participation of the entertainment.The author does believe that the youth's participation in entertainment is a common social phenomenon. On one hand this kind of participation is totally an open rebellion against the order and the moral consciousness of the traditional society, on the other hand it also plays a great role in the entertainment market and brings the current culture with a lot of vigor.With the consumption, although the teenagers can get the self-certification, social certification and emotion certification, but still we cannot consider these as the only goal. It is necessary for the teenagers to treat the participation rationally and choose the right scientific process. Meanwhile, we should expostulate these businessmen to keep their responsibility to the whole society. Also, we ought to remind them stop marketing the culture and check the spread of the bad information. In addition, the teenagers, who are the participant of the entertainment should keep rational and form the correct outlook of consumption and the consumption habits.
