The school-based curriculum of Chinese subject in senior high school becomes the hot spot, on which the new curriculum reforms and it also holds a more and more prominent position in Chinese language teaching. Both considering students'individuality and the request of regarding them as main body, the school-based curriculum plays a positive and auxiliary role in the supplement of text books. The school-based curriculum of Chinese subject brings enormous development space for schools and students, however, at the same time the status is not optimistic yet and there are many problems.Based on the request of basic education curriculum reform's targets, the thesis begins with the realistic issues brought out by the school-based curriculum as well as the investigation and analysis of the reasons. Next the thesis points out the educational functions which the school-based curriculum of Chinese subject can play. Then the thesis explores that it is very important to deep-understand the school-based curriculum and pay special attention to it. At last, specific suggestions and measures are proposed in order to bring educational function into full play.In a word, the thesis attempts to provide a theoretical and practical solution to the realistic problems faced by the school-based curriculum of Chinese subject. Deeply realizing and understanding the educational function of the school-based curriculum of Chinese subject is important to change its implementation status. It will be beneficial in the following aspects: the change of Chinese teaching reality; promoting students'individuality; development of potential and promotion of comprehensive accomplishment; the formation of teachers'characteristics and the capacity promotion of teaching and doing research. It will also be favorable to foster schools'distinctive culture and students'love for their hometown. In addition, it can release the negative pressure brought by the college entrance examination and foster the proper orientation for the social education environment.
