In China, with the popularity process of higher education and the marketing reform of graduates'employment, graduates'employment becomes more obviously difficult. It has led to some bad effect on personals, families and the whole society. It has also led to great waste of human and education resource. No doubt, graduates'employment has gradually become an outstanding problem influencing the development of higher education and society.There are some complicated and profound reasons for the nervous situation of graduates'employment. Particularly in China, the problem is much more complex. To solve this problem, we should take it seriously all-around, including making policies, advancing reforms on higher education in the need of society and so on.In the popularity process of higher education in western world, the countries adopt some effective methods to solve the problem of high unemployment rate. Although China is different from the western countries in political system and the degree of marketing, there are still some good lessons we can learn from.The thesis is focused on four points: the present situation of research on graduates'employment, the general reasons for graduates'difficult employment and the individual reasons in China situation, the policies adopted by developed countries of promoting graduate employment and what we can learn from them.
