In modern society, the rapid development of science and technology makes greater demands on the talent. It takes more attention to training of practical spirit and innovative ability. The recent educational reform requires that the emphasis of teaching course be transformed from proving conclusions of knowledge to obtaining knowledge by scientific courses. Education should focus on the cultivation of preliminary scientific inquiry ability and scientific approach and not lie in the grasp of a certain concrete knowledge. The inquiry-based instruction just accords with the demands of this educational reform. It lets students go through the course of scientific inquiry and trains students' inquiry ability and initiative spirit to reach the final cultivation of student's emotion, attitude, and values.In this thesis, the basic theory and it's connotation of the inquiry instruction are discussed completely. The means and technical abilities of key factors of the physics inquiry instruction in senior high school are analyzed systematically. On this basis, the instruction designs of two practicing cases are analyzed completely. Finally, some proposals and measures of physics inquiry instruction in senior high school are put forward in order to provide reference for physics inquiry instruction in senior high school.
