As the curriculum reform of mathematics profound, more and more people pay attention to the consciousness of mathematics application as one of an important part of mathematics quality. Every mathematics teacher in junior middle school must earnestly think deeply about How to cultivate student's consciousness of mathematics application in the junior middle school stage.At first, this article makes a preliminary analysis of the implications of the consciousness of application, of the significance of the cultivation of the consciousness of mathematics application, of present situation and the origin of student's consciousness of mathematics application in the junior middle school in our country.Secondly, according to the age characteristic of the students, the psychological characteristic, the law of development in cognition in the junior middle school, as well as the general rule about teaching, this article proposed those principles of the cultivation of the student's consciousness of mathematics application in the junior middle school. Its teaching pinciples include: the scientific, the feasibility, the gradation, the moderation, the feasibility, and the activity principle. Its teaching strategies involve: to culture the consciousness of mathematics application from the knowledge study, the knowledge application and the active developmentFinally, this article analyze simply how to evaluate scientifically the consciousness of application.
