The 21st century is the era of knowledge and economy. It is also the informational society while people should learn for ever. The secondary vocational and technological education is meeting the urgent challenge as it's major task is to cultivating talents for the first line production and the management. It needs to insist the policy "to take the service as an objective, take the employment as the guidance", And promote the union among the vocational education teaching, production practice and social service etc.. However, The art specialty of the secondary vocational school in Hunan province is still subject based teaching. The reform of teaching model focus on improving the teaching quality which take the entrance for university as the only teaching goal. That doesn't suitable vocational education need and lose its vocational character. The reform creation in teaching patterns is in urgent need.This thesis adopts such research methods as document, questionnaire, comparatively, interview and assembly etc. The thesis establishes action-oriented collective type teaching mode .It is intended to make some contributions to the teaching mode reform on art specialty in vocational schools in Hunan province and try to supply reference and evidence. It also help the art specialty to find a developmental way in the future. Thus the art specialty in the secondary vocational schools in Hunan will be on the vocational education's way. The study on reform of the art specialty teaching mode in secondary vocational school in Hunan province is realistic and theoretical value.The action-oriental collective type teaching mode is based on the deep analysis for present teaching mode. It takes the professional pedagogy theory, the construction principle theory, Dewey's theory "learning by doing" and the pragmatism and Competence Based Education theory as the cornerstone .It's teaching goal is try to cultivate medium practical and skilled art talents who have synthesis professional ability on the morality, intelligence and physique. The module of "broad basic" may meet the need of most students continue to study for entrance for college and university, and the module of "movable module" help those students who hope to get employed directly obtain certain professional ability. The teaching mode use action-oriented teaching pattern to help art students owing strong performance ability, social ability and communication ability and so on. The course content of the new teaching mode pays great attention to the occupational knowledge to merge into the classroom teaching, which enables the art students work and study in real or approximate real environment, then reduced the distance between the school and society. The students would promote themselves study hard and motive study while they can use the theory they learned into practice. They will possess best professional ability, social ability and communication ability.The new teaching mode needs certain conditions to put into the practice .Such as the teachers should understand fully about the students' psychological and study characteristic, The school leaders should create good conditions and give system safeguard to help art teachers to become "the double teachers" who have good quality. Also the school leaders must employed part-time job teachers from enterprises. And the school must increase the investment efforts to build the practice bases in and out school. Last but not least, the school should try to develop cooperation with enterprises, provide the students good external conditions to carry on practical training and add chance for employment.
