A Survey On The Requirement Of Pharmaceutical Vocational Education With The Development Of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Industry

Pharmaceutical industry is known worldwide as a special industry related to people' s health and stable development of a society, it' s also a knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive industry involved in high technology, high investment and high profit. Consequently, Every country in the world pays much attention to the development of the pharmaceutical industry. Since the 21^st century, with the globalization of world economy and the rapid improvement of people' s living condition, people are well conscious of the importance of health care and begin to pursue a high quality life. Due to the special role the pharmaceutical industry plays in national economy and the great profit it makes, every country starts to invest a lot of capital in the research and development of new Pharmaceuticals, causing an intense competition in pharmaceutical industry. This competion has changed from the original competition of market to global competition in many ways ,such as-—capital, technology, talents, research direction, production and sales.With the establishment of China' s socilist market economy and its entry into the WTO, the international and domestic situations of pharmaceutical industry China faces have changed a lot. To follow the new trend of competition in world pharmaceutical industry, under this circumstance, China' s pharmaceutical industry not only needs the first-rate developers of Pharmaceuticals but also needs more badly the first-rate workers knowing the international routines of producing and selling Pharmaceuticals. In this situation, China' s vocational educators should strive constantly to cultivate qualified talents for the society and enterprises. To achieve this goal, vocational educators in the pharmaceutical field should first know the overall and partial development of pharmaceutical industry, the present situation of human resource and the types of talents needed, and then take some educational and teaching measures to promote the sustainable development of pharmaceutical industry, helping to secure China' s position in the world pharmaceutical field. To show the right direction of reform for the Secondary and higher vocational education and teaching of pharmacy , this essay explores the development of pharmaceutical industry, present situation of human resources and the talents needed by employing the methods of document research, observation and questionaire, causing vocational education of parmachy to help maintain a sustainable, steady and rapid development of pharmaceutical industry.
