The Research On The Present,the Existing Problems And Suggestions Of The Undergraduates Tutorial System

The tutorial system for undergraduates is derived from the University of Oxford, so far it hasalready had a history of more than700years, the teaching concept of it is concerning individualgrowth, taking seriously to cooperation between teachers and students, training students’ ability tothink independently. The University of each country should learn and reference to the idea of it.In the1930’s, Zhejiang University took the lead has implemented the tutorial system forundergraduates which had rapidly raised the upsurge and obtain the effect at the time in ourcountry. After the founding of new China, the college management pattern of our country began tofollow the Soviet Union, for the moment, the tutorial system for undergraduates withdrew ourcollege system. By the early1990s, with the development of credit system and elective system inour country, the tutorial system for undergraduates returned to our college. Although there are stillsome problems in action, such as evaluation criterion, it may also have played a role as anauxiliary means of improving the students’quality.The whole paper consists of four parts. The first part introduces a clear thesis of the researchbackground, research methods, the situation, as well as the research thinking in this article etc.The second part focuses on the status quo of our undergraduates tutorial system, including thedefinitions, the type and the development experience of tutorial system, and its functions andvalues; The third part based on the present achievements, through interviewing the collegestudents about tutorial system and sum up the deficiency which has existing at the stage; Thefourth part introduces the model of tutorial system----the tutorial system of Oxford, such as itsteaching idea, teaching characteristic and the enlightenment to our undergraduates tutorial system;In the fifth part, there are some suggestions to future development scientific and reasonable byanalyzing the status quo and the problems of the tutorial system for undergraduates in our country.
