This article researched Information Literacy of physical education teachers in 9 universities in XinJiang Province to find out the information Literacy situation of the physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province Network Environment with the method of literature and information, visiting and researching, researching through questionnaire, Mathematical Statistics, etc. The result is:(1)The Information Literacy level of the physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province is Unbalanced. The main reason to cause this is the national difference and the complex Learning-origin Structure of teachers. (2) The number of teachers who participated in training for the operation to auxiliary software of teaching are far less than that took part in training for general operation to computer. The mode of training is mainly to the computer training course started by universities. The study content starts from the needs of teaching and researching and is mainly to the basic operating of computer, demanding information from internet, word processing, making courseware, statistical data. At present, the short-term and centralized training is being seen as the most suitable mode for information technology training. Being short of time and energy and Corresponding incentive mechanism and attention of leader are three main reasons that cause physical education teachers are not taking part in information technology training.(3)Physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province universally have correct understanding in the important and function of information and Information Literacy. They have high wish to study the information technology and make the literature information source as the first source to obtain information. But they have not enough overall understanding level to the basic knowledge of computer and have short practice opportunities to solve the problems actually. The understanding degree to related knowledge of information of physical education teachers of Han is better than that of physical education teachers of minority obviously. Very few physical education teachers have weak information consciousness, and they would not like to study and use information technology to teach and do the scientific research because of the impact of traditional concept and habit.(4) Physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province have basically acquired the ability of information appraisal and Classified processing. The level of computer operation and the network operation of Physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province is also at the low horizontal stage. Some Physical education teachers in universities lack the knowledge of information retrieval, there still have many barriers when meets their own deep level teaching demand to carry on the information resource retrieval in the using of the computer. The quantity of the paper published by the sport teachers in the five years, who often use the web to know the newest dynamic news, is obviously higher than the quantity of the teacher who just surf the web sometimes or even never use that. Physical education teachers of Han Nationality'are obviously higher than physical education teacher of Minority in the level of computer operation and the network operation , the skilled operation of various teaching media and the utilization to each kind of network exchanges tool.(5) Application of the multi-media teaching take the physical education needs as the starting point. The application manner is quite straight. There are three big resistances in the implementation of multi-media teaching for Physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province. Such as has the deficient investment and the equipment is not good; the thought of their own and the leadership dose not pay enough attention to it; the teaching resources are insufficiency. A lack of hardware and software facilities in multimedia teaching is the biggest affect factor.(6) Physical education teachers in universities in XinJiang Province have a clearer understanding in bad information behaviors, can resist them on their own initiative and can observe the laws and regulations related intellectual property rights. There are also some physical education teachers understanding the related laws and regulations of information technology and network security insufficiently, even individual Physical education teacher knows nothing about it.
