Teacher' s occupation is generally accepted as a occupation with high intensity and high stress.The reform of educating system brings high school huge source of vitality and activity,but also makes college teacher's stress problem highlight increasingly.This paper mainly adopts " College Working Stress Scale" and " Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire" to take a questionnaire to 383 teachers of Tianjin Polytechnic University,the results are as follows:1.80 percents of the teachers investigated show that the stress is intense.They think months with higher stress are September,December and June;the months with lower stress are February,July and August.2.In the aspects of total stress,it does not show obvious difference between male and female,but it does between teachers married and unmarried,teachers with highest stress are those who have 21-25 years of teaching experience.In the aspects of working guarantee,there is remarkable difference between teachers with different educational background.In the aspects of social interaction,teachers with junior position have the lowest working stress.In the aspects of working intensity and working pleasure,there is notable difference between teachers with different ages,different educational background and different teaching experience.3.In taking a positive response to the stress,there is no remarkable difference between teachers with higher stress and lower.But in taking negative response,there are more teachers with higher stress than those with lower stress.4.Teachers with the highest stress are those who do not take physical trainings,teachers who take trainings more than 5 times a week have the lowest stress. In this paper,the findings are discussed and analyzed,and the corresponding counter-measures to alleviate the teachers' occupational stress are proposed.The measures are as follows:(1) pay an attention to self-management of the teachers;(2) strengthen the management of school;(3) optimize the social environment.
