The educational logo is the ideas and spirits of guiding educational behavior.It is the basic difference between the new-curriculum and the old-curriculum.The leading idea of the new course standard is to attach importance to the development of students.The application of " the case study approach" has proved effectively that positive and proper studying approaches play an important role in student's studying and their all-around development.And in this teaching mode, students can really become "the host of study."The case study approach is a methodology that helps with nurturing the creativity and the ability of practicing of the students.Therefore a careful study of it in middle school context is very necessary.As a geography teacher in a high school,the author has researched on the methods and avenues of the case study approach used in the middle school required geography course, based on the personal practice,the literature research,or the summarization of experience.The thesis contains five parts.In Part One and Part Two, these texts have explained the connotation of the case study approach,and probed into the theoretical foundation of the case study approach.Then,on this basis,in the last three parts,the thesis does further practice on how to use the case study approach,and the text has summarized the questions found in the case-based practical,and also proposed to solve the problems.
