Writing is a very important part in the teaching of Chinese, and composition from the third to the sixth grade in primary school is a crucial part in the whole process of the teaching of writing. Since the reform of the curriculum, remarkable improvement is seen in the teaching of composition in primary school. Many experts and teachers made efforts in developing courses and reforming the concepts of teaching, and many achievements have been yielded. However, surveys show some difficulties still exist in both the teaching and the learning in composition teaching in primary school.This thesis, starting from the role, objectives and requirements of composition teaching in primary school, analyzed the problems and their causes in actual teachings and proposed solutions.This thesis is divided into five parts:The main analysis of the introduction of the teaching of writing at home and abroad, research, research on the significance of this article describes.The first part elaborated on the importance of composition teaching in primary school, analyzed the overall objective and the objectives at different stages, compared them with the objectives set forth in the past, and summed up the requirements posed to both the teachers and the students according to the implementation suggestion of the objectives.The second part, from the sides of both teachers and students, summed up the problems in the teaching of composition in the primary school, and analyzed the causes of these problems from the aspects of the composition teaching itself, educational system, and the society.The third part proposed solutions to the problems in composition teaching in primary school. The author first proposed the concepts of teaching that Chinese teachers should possess; then analyzed, basing on the psychological pattern of the students in composition learning, the key points teachers should emphasize at different stages of teaching; lastly, suggested methods to improve composition teaching according to the teaching process in class and supplied cases in actual teaching and made brief analyses.The Conclusion part summed up the whole thesis, pointed out its short comings, and expressed hopes in the reform of composition teaching in primary school.
