With the establishment of the international cheerleading organizations, the cheerleading competitions were held more often worldwide. With the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games successful holding and the domestic and foreign cheerleaders'splendid performance,what promote our country to welcome the spring of cheerleading. But this sport was only at a beginning in our country, the specialized cheerleaders are still very deficient, There is a few research on establishing course of the cheerleading in the major of physical education of colleges. Therefore, analysis the Development Status of cheerleading in the domestic and foreign, elaborates the advantage to set up cheerleading course in the major of physical education of colleges at present stage, and elaborates feasibility of cheerleading in the major of physical education of colleges, to promote the popularization of cheerleading in Major and medium Elementary school's and disseminate universal public health, enhance the people's consciousness of Lifelong sports and enrich the cultural life of the campus, reflect the new training objectives and requirements of quality education has the important meaning.This text mainly adopts research ways such as expert to interview, documental data, questionnaire survey, record image to statistics, logical analysis and mathematical statistics, in studying the theory development of cheerleading in present situation, with national condition of our country, selects the representative major of physical education of colleges through the district and the middle school which had participated 2008 middle-school students'cheerleading of Jiangsu Province, From the demandment of Talented person about cheerleading, Significance and Advantage to establishment of cheerleading Courses in the Major of Physical Education of Colleges, to explore the necessity of Physical Education of Colleges in our country.Research results show that: Our county need a large number of cheerleading talents at this stage, and the urgently needness is Establishment of cheerleading Courses in the Major of Physical Education of Colleges, There are plans to train a group of professional teachers, coaches and sports instructors in the ranks of society. but for various of reasons , the development of cheerleading is not satisfactory in the Major of Physical Education of Colleges. the material advantages, personnel, information superiority of Sport Colleges and Universities, and students of sport Colleges and Universities who are on the urgent desire of cheerleading courses, the Promotly Function to educated, social culture functions, campus culture and the commercial value of cheerleading,all that can illustrate that the cheerleading courses is feasibility and necessity in Higher Institutes of Physical Education in China.
