Currently in China there is a pending economic crisis in the area of talent and this study aims to contribute to the understanding of this issue and also the contribution of timely technological solutions.Relevant and timely economic knowledge has been created through collecting and analyzing around 400 surveys,past research,and expert opinions in China on several subject areas relating to China's talent shortage.These include;skills of students and employees in China,university effectiveness,employment,and technological innovation.Data sources range fromstudents,employees,employers,and experts all based in China.The surveys shed light on the effectiveness of Chinese universities,skill sets of Chinese job candidates,and the use of online technology to improve the candidate selection.process.The results of this study are wide ranging and sound an alarm for policy makers around the issue of China's talent shortage and how to address it through technological innovation.
