The lack of humanism in education is a serious problem and a tough block in our education development.Such a failure rooted in our education system leads most students to extreme utilitarianism and pragmatism.To develop individuals and society overall,the society begins to advocate a good combination of humanism and science in education.As a beacon for science development and civilization advancement,mathematics has a rich source of science spirit and humane inspiration.Thus mathematics education should be a cooperative process in which science and humanities go hand in hand.As for strengthening humanities education in mathematics of senior middle school, humanities spirits in mathematics should be implanted into the teaching contents and implemented through the whole teaching process,during which teachers are crucial factors. Therefore,teachers should firstly improve themselves internally and externally in terms of morality and knowing.In practice,mathematics teachers should manage to create a humane environment in class,to make innovative teaching materials full of humanism,clever teaching designs,and to dig out mathematics spirit notion.Teachers should also teach about mathematics history,discover the beauty of mathematics.The enhancement of humanities education is an enormous social project,which needs schools,families and society to join together to achieve it.It is a big matter for the whole society.Meanwhile,we must reform the present system of education,especially the system of estimate.
