The thesis makes a deep research through investigating; and studying on the implementation of option teaching and learning in 26 provincial model high schools throughout Henan province. It was conducted in various ways, such as covering document, questionnaire, mathematical statistics and Logical analysis methods. The results are as followings:<1> There are 185 schools, 10% of which implemented PE option teaching and learning in Henan province . Most of the schools consider that the economic burden does't change much than before. The phenomenon of very few new projects and students less optional items existed in schools, lack of venues and equipments as well as the teachers vacancies are the biggest problems.The vast majority of the schools are ready to adopt to the implementation of option teaching and learning, although most of the schools has the basic conditions, but lack of specialized teaching materials, the complex organizations, no supportion from school, the level of options needing too much high are the main reason for not carrying out it.<2> Most of the schools have the compulsory hours and less than 50 people in a class. But in the other schools too many students in a class puzzled them; some schools too frequently for the project, affecting the options for teaching effectiveness.<3> School teachers surveyed all academic standards, the situation of a more reasonable title, but the teachers and students interested in different strengths; low proportion of female teachers; teacher vacancies exist; lag post training.<4> The majority of teachers support schools teaching PE options. In implementation of option-medium schools, the majority of PE teachers are in a heavier workload, but they can do special teaching job and the heavy workload. Being ready to implement the option of teaching workload of school teachers is relatively small, too many students, the implementation of more complex, fear of increased workload and the demands of professional they are implemented in the future may face the option of teaching problems. <5> Implementation options of teaching in schools, the vast majority of students support the option of teaching and have chosen to their favorite projects; the majority of teachers are teaching students the content of moderate difficulty, their own special technology has markedly improved. School students prepare to implement the option of teaching very much support the mode of curriculum.
