The integrated practical activity curriculum which is a practical one is based on student's direct experience, relates student's own life and social life closely and pays great attention to the integrated use of knowledge and skills and manifests the development value to the student from the experience and the life. Its establishment has realized our country elementary education curriculum system's constitutive breakthrough and become the luminescent spot as well as the difficulty of the new curriculum reform.From the start of the new curriculum reform in 2001 until now, the integrated practical activity curriculum had already made good progress in the urban junior middle school's implementation process, but what is the present implementation situation of it in junior middle schools in our country's general countryside actually? How can we make the integrated practical activity curriculum enter the Elementary and Middle schools in our general countryside, to establish its proper status? How to enable the integrated practical activity curriculum to highlight its characteristic in cultivating the talents who have the practical ability and the innovative spirit? These questions are worth pondering and the research. This article embarks from the countryside school's reality, basing on the fundamental direction of the elementary education curriculum's reform and development in our country, using the literature method, the questionnaire survey procedure and the interview to carry on a large area investigation about the present implementation situation of the integrated practical activity curriculum in the Junior middle schools of the rural area in HengYang city, Hunan province, in order to from this area's situation to understood integrated practical activity curriculum's implementation condition in whole Hunan province and even all the national similar areas. Finally, I hope to provide some theory basis and the reference in practice aspect for the implementation of integrated practical activity curriculum in our general countryside schools and provided some suggests for the improvement of the curriculum.The survey result indicated that implement of the integrated practical activity curriculum in the Junior middle schools in Hengyang Countryside has the following problems: First, having the wrong ideological recognition to the curriculum. Second, the supervising teachers strength lack strength and have the low enthusiasm. Third, the curriculum resources' development and uses are unreasonable. Fourth, the curriculum's organization and management is loose. Fifth, in the activities, the middle-school students, the guardian and the society supports insufficiently. The reasons for these questions: The advantageous social atmosphere not yet forms; the management supervision to the curriculum made by the education administrative department and school is not strength; Teacher's specialized quality is relatively low; the students lack initiative. Facing to the question which exists in implementation of the synthesis practice, I make the following experimental improvement suggestions: First, to transform idea, to firm confidence. Second, to strengthen the development in advance and effective training to the supervising teacher. Third, to establish the condition positively safeguarding smooth implement of the curriculum. Fourth, to develop and use the curriculum resources of school and the local place fully. Fifth, to do good propaganda, obtaining the supports from the parents and society.
