The Reform Of Japanese Contemporary Basic Education From Multi-cultural Viewpoint

Japan is powerful in economy and education. Education played a key role in Japanese modernization. The modernization of education is inseparable from the traditional culture. In today's world, all kinds of culture are the mutual absorption and fusion. The trend of the current world culture is openness and diversity. Japanese basic education reform is based on this trend.The paper discusses the development of Japanese basic education effected by eastern and western culture and its characteristics, by analyzing the relations of culture and education. This paper analyzes the background of education reform and suggests the practical procedures for education. It also investigates the basic education developing history, dissertates the cultural element of Japan basic education reform deeply. Through researching Japanese culture introduces the present education. Furthermore, it gives some suggestions to Chinese basic education by analyzing Japanese education.
