As the main channel,main position and main classroom to cultivate the persons with ideal, morality, culture and self-discipline, Chinese modern history outline course plays an important role in improving students' ideological quality and boosting students' all-around development. Guided by the center-government, new curriculum schemes of IPTC ("05"scheme)including Chinese modern history outline has been in full operation throughout the country from September 2006, it proves that The CPC Central Committee and the State Council pay great attention to the teaching of Chinese modern history outline course. However,the efficiency of the teaching of IPTC has been weakening because of the comparatively weakly instructive functions of colleges and universities, the old teaching methods of IPTC and the lower quality of some teachers of IPTC. Facing the situation, the problem that enhance the efficiency of the teaching of Chinese modern history outline course in order to improve the current university students' ideological and political quality, to cultivate qualified builders and reliable successors of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to bring the student's role into full play in the construction of socialist harmonious society--the new long march must be solved. So the writer hopes to offer the positive countermeasures and suggestions in terms of student satisfaction on how to enhance and promote the efficiency of the teaching of Chinese modern history outline course.The dissertation mainly consists of the following four parts:Chapter One is the strategy of the study. It elaborates the theoretical basis and the meaning of the study, the tools and its methods used in the study and so on.Chapter Two and three are empirical research and also the bright point of the study. This part displays the status of the students'satisfaction of the teaching of Chinese Modern History Outline Course and also analyzes its causes by questionnaires which was established scientifically and proved feasible to some students from HuaZhong University of Science and Technology and processing and analysis of the investigated data.Chapter four is a key part of this dissertation, which proposes countermeasures and suggestion for promoting the efficiency of the teaching of Chinese Modern History Outline Course. This part is based on the research of Chapter Two and three .This part have pertinence and great directing reference value.
