The development of Chinese technical education has obtained a huge achievement in recent years. Many kinds of teacher’s problems such as the levels of education, the incongruous structure of professional title, the overall low quality and the instability of teaching organization are appearing while Chinese technical education are expanding continually. The study on the theory and practice of technical school teacher’s career management plays a very important role on solving those problems above.This study first analyses, concludes and summarizes the literatures about career management and teacher’s career management research. Then it defines the essence of career, career management and teacher’s career management. Based on the theoretical analysis, this study takes XG senior technical school as example and employs questionnaire and interview method to explore the career management of technical school in China empirically. It probes the inter-dimension and relation between organizational career management and individual career management. The conclusion is:1.The individual career management inter-dimension includes career explore, realizing organization, self-cognition, participating in teaching and scientific research, communicating upward, promoting the ability of teaching.2. The organizational career management inter-dimension includes the justice of the organization’s policy, paying attention to the teacher’s development, providing the scientific research and study, communication and feedback.3. The dimensions of individual career management are mutually related with those of individual career management in varying degrees. Finally based on the result of the research and the theory about career management, this study attempts to put forward several policy proposals to the teachers and human resource management department. To the teachers:1. Foster the sense of personal career management.2. Carry out self assessment and environmental assessment.3. Communicate with superiors and leadership.4. Cultivate the healthy state of mind. To the human resource management department:1. Carry out the teacher’s human resource management according to the theory of modern human resource management.2. Improve the system of teacher’s career management.3. Develop kinds of career management activities to guide and help the teachers to carry out individual career management.
