Since we carried the reform and opening-up policy, postgraduate education in china has been developing rapidly. Especially since universities increased enrollment, the population of postgraduates has gained swift growth, but on the other hand, the problem of postgraduate employment is becoming prominent and gaining more and more attention, career planning is also raised the program. The pedagogy postgraduates has the general questions which most postgraduates meet, also it has own bright characteristics, as a result of these influences including our country raising goals guidance on pedagogy, pedagogy own characteristic and so on, In recent years, research literature on career planning has increased, but studies that taking pedagogy postgraduate as the objects are very few. Two representative universities have been chosen as research samples. Based on the empirical study primarily, the paper has adopted questionnaire survey, interview, and literature analysis together. The paper tries to generally analyze problems of the pedagogy postgraduate career planning from pedagogy postgraduates' angle together with society, university factors. It is expected that it can provide the scientific suggestions for the pedagogy graduates' career developing. And, the object of study involved in the paper is mainly full-time schooling pedagogy postgraduates present in the school.The paper follows the ideas of proposing, analyzing and solving the problem to study the present situations of pedagogy postgraduates' career planning in Shanghai. And it tries to discover the problems of the pedagogy postgraduates' career planning, analyze the reasons for the problems, and find the possible solutions to these problems.From the theory sense, the author expects this research to further enrich career developing theories, and explore methods to alleviate pressure of pedagogy postgraduate employment, through the research on problems about pedagogy graduate career planning. From the practical sense, this research is expected to promote concordance employment of the pedagogy postgraduates, advance universities to enhance the raising quality, and promote social stability and development. At the same time, as a pedagogy postgraduate, concentrating on research of pedagogy problems may further promote pedagogy postgraduates to be clearer about the real value of majoring in pedagogy, the development request of pedagogy discipline and the pedagogy postgraduates' times mission.The research has shown that present situations of pedagogy postgraduate career planning are not optimistic. The reasons are various, like supply and demand dislocation, constitutive contradictory influence and so on, but the pedagogy postgraduates themselves' problems are not allowed to be neglected: the localization of occupation high, the craft consciousness to be light, the occupation preparation not full, not carrying out insufficiently; the specialized sympathies not strong, the overall quality and professional ability not high, not having obvious occupation competitive advantages and so on.The external factor is the condition, while the internal cause is basic. In the end, the author put forward some proposals : the pedagogy postgraduates themselves should at the right moment adjust the professional strategy, improve the overall quality and professional ability, make full preparation from the thought and the action, accumulate individual capital and the social capital, and promote professional competitive power. At the same time, the government should guide positively, and make perfect market employment mechanism and employment policy; changing the original sole academic personnel training pattern, universities must strengthen the practical abilities of postgraduates, and improve the personnel training quality according to social development's need; the society should additionally build the more employment posts, and provide more loose and the good social environment for postgraduates. In brief, only the pedagogy postgraduates make career-planning the better according to the social development demand and their own characteristic, pedagogy postgraduates themselves, the university and the social sustainable development can it promote the better.
