Technological And Scientific Universities' Cultural Quality Education Research

Technological and scientific universities'Cultural quality education is not only an academic issue, but is a practical problem. The scientific and technological universities of our country in succession started to explore the practice of the cultural quality education under the advocate of the former educational committee since the mid 1990s. Although many colleges that acquired achievements and precious experience on cultural quality education, in general, the pursuit of the scientific and technological universities'cultural education for all-round development is deficient and superficial both on theoretical study and practical boosting. Pushing and deepening scientific and technological universities' cultural quality education is the theme of this research.Firstly, this article have an illustration on the basic meaning of the cultural quality education, and clearly define the content of the cultural education for all-round development and definitely illustrate its basic character, so as to establish a correct and clear concept for the later research of this article. Then, for the purpose of making a solid foundation for the later study, this article will trace back the history of the theory about the cultural quality education at home and abroad on its theoretical development and practice in western countries, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and its evolvement and development on mainland China. At the same time, in order to give direction for the practice conveniently, this article particularly summarize the practical experience of liberal arts universities'mode of cultural quality education which are represented by the Beijing university, and the experience of university of science and technology whose representatives are the Tsinghua University, the Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the North China University of Technology in the forth part. Finally, considering the theoretical study of cultural quality education at home and abroad and the case study of their educational mode, this paper will sort out the theoretical proposition and the feasible practical method which are creative on strengthening cultural quality education of our country.The theoretical proposition and the feasible practical method proposed in this paper are mainly directed towards the universities of science and technology, so it is making a contribution to impelling the cultural quality education of the universities of science and technology.
