The compulsory education is the ground-breaking project to improve Chinese people quality, to implement the stratege of invigorationg China through scicence and education and also the very basis to build a harmonions society. The compulsory eduction equalization is an up-to-date eduction concept and newly sustainable development view of education as well. Promoting the compulsory eduction equalization is not only the fundamental base for achieving social equity, but also one of methods to reach basic public service equalization in China. Furthermore, it is indispensable requiremnt to construct a prosperous scoiety comprehensively and to build a harmonions society.This thesis will sum up the practical experierence on the compulsory education equlization development from abroad and demostic on the basis of theoretical and practical reasearch, giving analysis of the feasibility and significance of enhancing the cumpulsory education equalization at the current stage. The essential part of the thesis is that the author constructed the Index System for the Compulsory Education Equalization Assessment, including four first-level indicators:environment equlization, urban-rurual area equalization, results equalization and overall equalization. The author conducted an empirical analysis of the compulsory education equalization development in Zhejiang Province and made sugestions on how to further promote it finally.
