Stepping into 21 century, the popular culture is developing swiftly, with a series of evolution of economic structure, cultural environment, popular psychology and media of our society. Its mighty array has been half of the content of Chinese culture, and meanwhile its violent impact makes it a part of the mainstream. Therefore, as the staple battlefield of the main content culture, Chinese teaching is faced with new outer environment. On the one hand, under the pressure of science and popularity, literature is becoming fringe. On the other hand, the multiplex value concept leads to the disappearance of common reading and new cultural environment has been formed. The pursue of shaping the soul makes Chinese teaching not so harmonious and difficult to go. The relationship between Chinese teaching and popular culture is embarrassed, losing its balance. So Chinese teaching will confront the popular culture ultimately forever? Can Chinese teaching find out its proper position again in the ability oriented education of teens? Isn't it only a wish realizing the harmonious development between Chinese teaching and popular culture? Therefore, I want to discuss the relationship between them and illustrate its necessity, urgency and workableness. And under New Curriculum, try to make Chinese classes more tasty, appealing and charming.
