Female normal education, as a special form of education, has a special status in China's education history. This thesis's subject is the female normal education during the period of Former Kuomintang Government from 1927 to 1949, describing in chronological order. Based on the research, we can gain a better knowledge of the characteristics of the female normal education during this period and their implications.In addition to introduction and afterword, this paper is divided into four parts:The first three parts, from a social point of view of history and social change, integration of education, history and content of the history of ideas, illustrate in detail the development of education of each period:Women's vigorous development of teacher education before the war; Women's tortuous progress of teacher education in the war and the evolution post-war. Besides, the Government's educational policy of each period, the condition of women's secondary and higher teacher education as well are discussed in detail.The fourth part is a reflection of education at the time of Former Kuomintang Government. By an analysis of the female school teacher education, the reasons for the success and eventual integration into the larger teacher education and the morphology of the end of the reflection, this part provides reference to our current reform.
