Analysis On The Normalcy Of The Graduate Employment Problem And Employment Concept

The higher education in our country is confronted with very austere employment circumstances since it has been mass education. People are paying close attention to problems of graduate employment. Many studies have analyzed this problem, and brought forward many strategies and recommendations in different aspects. It's worth to discuss that how to treat the problem of graduate employment and whether the current policies and proposals are able to solve it.The main viewpoint is summarized as follows:In China, to some extent, the problem of graduate employment during the progress of mass higher education is very natural and inevitable. We have to put up with this problem patiently and soberly since it will be a normalcy for the unsatisfying employment rate. The dissertation demonstrates this standpoint in three aspects. Firstly, researches have shown that the graduate employment status in developed countries in the moment of mass higher education is also low. The problem in our country does not make an exception. Secondly, I analyze the inevitability of the graduate employment problem in China. Thirdly, from my point of view, the existing measures to address the issue of employment are limited.The long existence of this problem is not convertible in the current conditions.The change of employment concept is a necessary condition and crucial element in the progress of mass higher education. Only on the precondition that accepting the normalization of graduate employment problem could we analyze the problem of the graduate employment, discuss the value of higher education, and design the innovation and development. But the public's attitude to the problem of graduate employment is still holding the concept in elite higher education, which is paid too much expectation on employment.In order to realize the change of employment concept, the government should consummate the social security, lessen the illegitimate disparity of earning. The universities should break loose the restraints of employment, and work on more important. The undergraduate should pay more attention to the nurturance of capability, and turn about the evaluation on higher education. Only in these ways can we implement the higher education developing well and advancing.
