The Design And Development Of Assessment Support System For Educational Technology Program

China has the largest number of undergraduates of Educational Technology in the world. Although we always use the experience of other countries for reference to promote our research on Educational Technology, we have no transcendental programme to copy in the training of gifted undergraduates of Educational Technology. The research and practice on the evaluation of Educational Technology of undergraduate education levels for the present are pressing for solutions. In order to raise efficiency of the assessment work and upgrading its service quality, we will make good use of modern information technology to develop a useful web-based software system:Assessment Support System for Educational Technology Program. This research work of the dissertation is supported by "The Development of Assessment Support System for Educational Technology Program", which is one sub-item of "The research and practice on the evaluation of Educational Technology of undergraduate education levels". At the beginning of this paper, by means of investigating into higher education assessment and evaluation and acknowledgement of professional teaching related to science departments both at home and abroad, we can borrow some referential materials to make program assessment of Educational Technology. Then by studying and comparing several typical evaluation methods, this paper provides a comprehensive evaluation method based on a combination of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation. It is helpful for decreasing the deviations of traditional subjective ways of deciding indicator weight, solving the ambiguity and uncertainty of judgment and improving the flexibility of assessment work. Combining with relevant theory and technology, aiming at actual condition of Informationization Development of colleges and universities, according to "The Assessment Document of Educational Technology of Undergraduate Education Levels", we have developed Assessment Support System for Educational Technology Program. The system includes function modules of user manual, experts assessment, department portfolio, system management, BBS and so on.Based on the development and application of Assessment Support System for Educational Technology Program, program assessment of Educational Technology can be more professional and efficient.
