In recent years, with the expansion of college enrollment and the rapid development of higher education, the "graduate entrance exam craze" in the field of education in China has been heating up year by year. There is an increasingly obvious phenomenon in the enrollment and training of postgraduate students of education at Y university and other local universities. In the phase of registering for examination,a large number of non-pedagogic undergraduates choose to cross major to apply for pedagogy, making the pedagogy profession one of the largest proportion and scale students to apply for and study.Across most of pedagogy, however, the postgraduate will experience professional identity crisis during the graduate life, even some students have the idea that if they take the exam again, they will definitely change other majors".This study adopts the method of qualitative research to deeply analyze the professional selection motives of the interdisciplinary pedagogy postgraduates at Y university in the process of recruiting and the professional adaptation in the process of pedagogic development. The study found that the undergraduates' survival pressure at graduation caused large number of non-pedagogic undergraduates to choose pedagogic majors that are less difficulty, low competitive pressure and low risk in the balance between the internal motivation(self-realization)and external motivation(risk assessment). They pursue self-development and professional development in the process of pedagogy training, and they give preference to self-realization in the trade-off between internal motivation(self-realization)and external motivation(risk assessment).Suppressing risk assessment, and different choices in the balance of internal and external motivations in the enrollment and cultivation process caused they have a series of problems such as cognitive dissonance and professional maladjustment. And then the group of the interdisciplinary pedagogy postgraduates are lost and in trouble. The education phenomenon of "the people outside want to come in,while the people inside want to go out “ is called "the siege phenomenon" of the "cross-professional postgraduate" group in education.
