To reform the curriculum contents and teaching methods is one of curriculum ideas in Primary and secondary schools"Sports and Health Standards".Taking students'development for center,helping them to know how to learn, improving PE learning abilty and health promotion capacity. Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method is a versatile, highly efficient teaching methods.This teaching approach emphasizes active student learning and thinking. However, PE, a number of teaching materials more complicated, especially the new grant materials the students had never contacted with, Applying this teaching methods alone is not only difficult, but results are not satisfactory, students simply can not grasp movement technology well. The guided learning-style teaching method's essence is to teach students the contents in verdict, students simply need to understand the learning materials in order to reappear or use. It is not helpful for mobilizing the enthusiasm of students,nor ability cultivation. We combine the two methods in PE,intercept their advantages and discard their shortcomings. Not only cultivate students'self-learning ability, but also give full play the guiding role of teachers.In this paper, with literature consultation ,theoretically discussed the necessity of combining the two methods in high school volleyball elective course. It accords to the needs of curriculum reform and students development, present situation of China's education.Combining of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method in High School Volleyball Elective Course is helpful for arousing students'enthusiasm and initiative.Analysising the advantages and disadvantages of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method,and their implementation procedure.we take two classes of senior volleyball elective course in SuZhou NO.1 Middle School as experiment object, for one term experimental research. We obtained the experimental datas of the experimental class and contol class on base of widely study, investigation and praction. We verified that our teaching method is better than traditional learning methods in enhancing students'learning effect ,arousing their enthusiasm and initiative. We got such conclutions:1, Combining of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method in High School Volleyball Elective Course is necessary.2, Combining of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method in High School Volleyball Elective Course improve students'sports skill.3, Combining of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method in High School Volleyball Elective Course improve students'sports attitude. 4, Guided learning stage is mainly used in the initial stage of technology, learning guide stage for technology improvement stage. 5,Combining of Guided Learning and Learning-instructive-type Teaching Method reflects the leading role of teachers and students'dominant position.
