The new national basic education revolution has proposed teaching three-dimensional aim. It fully illustrates that self-learning which is to improve the scientific literacy and scientific spirit of students will gradually replace the traditional teacher-lecture-based teaching method. However, owing to students'limited knowledge, low self-learning ability, large curriculum content and academic pressure on college entrance examination, the self-learning model advocated by the new curriculum meets difficulties. During the process of transformation from knowledge-based teaching to students-based teaching, no teacher can find an effective teaching method that both reflect the new curriculum reform and the entrance examination. The paper gives the majority of front-line teachers the basis for action that is realistic and reflects concept of the new curriculum by learning the design and the action of Guided Learning-Style Case Studies. At the same time it helps to raise the high school student's learning ability, develop their good study habits and improve the class efficiency.The paper is divided into four sections. It demonstrates that the Guided Learning-Style Case Studies play a role in promoting the students'self-learning ability by researching the teaching effectiveness and students'reflection.
