A Study On The Community Voluntary Service In Shanghai

As an important social welfare business, voluntary service plays an essential role in promoting the advancement of human beings. With the development of community construction and voluntary service, community voluntary service has grown at a rapid speed .Because of the goal of building harmonious society the study of community voluntary service has theoretical and practical meanings. Now the process of studying community voluntary service is still at initial stage in China. In order to provide a reference of the well-being development of voluntary service, the thesis explores defects existing in community voluntary service and attempts to make suggestions on building community voluntary service system. To begin with, the thesis gives a brief introduction of the background and meanings of the study and presents the contemporary domestic and international theoretical researching achievements in the field of voluntary service. Then it introduces developing course and presents state of community voluntary service. Basing on the development situation and practice of A community in Shanghai, the thesis analysis its problems discovered. At the same time, it tries to give some solutions to the problems in the development of community voluntary service in Shanghai. At the end of thesis, it provides four major measures of community voluntary service as followings, strengthening assisting policies, perfecting related laws and regulations, improving its organizing system, and promoting its management mechanism.
