"Guidelines for Kindergarten Education (for trial implementation)" promulgated by Ministry of Education in 2001 points out:"kindergarten education, an important component of basic education, is the foundational phase of school and lifelong education of our country." Today's children are masters of future society and their degree of social development will be related to the development of their lives. Kindergartens'social field curriculum is the basic means and ways to promote and achieve social development of young children, which in the content covers aspects of development of child's sociality. However, in the process of curriculum implementation in social fields, there are still some problems that lead to fail to achieve united aim of social education, due to individual cognitive level, individual capacity, as well as outside environmental conditions and different educators or the same one having different understanding and means of doing in different situations.Therefore, this study plans to adopt the methods of literature study, questionnaire, content analysis, interview and observation. On the basis of investigating and studying the implementing situation in social field in main districts of Chongqing city, the author will explore the problems in curriculum implementation, analyzing causes and trying to put forward some suggestions for the valid implementation of kindergartens'social field curriculum. This study consists of four parts.The first part is an introduction. Based on consulting abundant literature information, this part makes a study review on kindergartens'social field curriculum and implementation.What followed is to make a definition of the core concepts:social field curriculum, curriculum implementation and kindergarten social education. And the theoretical foundation and research design is provided.The second part is the present situation of social field curriculum implementation and its problems. On the basis of certain understanding the present situation in Chongqing of the implementation of social field curriculum through content analysis, questionnaire, interview and observation, this thesis will reveal some existing problems from three aspects of teacher, kindergarten, family and community, such as unreasonable ideas and behaviors of kindergarten teachers existing in the process of implementation of social field curriculum; there is no periodical teaching and researching systems of social field in kindergarten; especially the inefficiency of using housemaster and social resources.The third part is to analyze the reason of existing problems. The main causes of existing problems in implementation are as follows:teachers do not have enough comprehension of the implementation of social field curriculum; there is not strong support for the implementation from the administrators in kindergartens, and the favorable outside situation for the implementation has not been formed yet.The fourth part is the study of countermeasures, probing some countermeasures of implementation of social field curriculum, such as directing teachers to put educational notions into practice; restructuring helpful administration system of kindergarten social curriculum implementation and making full use of all kinds of educational resources.
