Since1980s, New Character Education has been a massive educational movement in the United States. As a mainstream form of moral education in American schools, and has accumulated some successful experience. But in China, the children moral education started kindergarten five major areas of social fields such relatively dominant form of moral education courses.Therefore, this article begins with making a survey, observation, interviews and text analysis on current situation of kindergarten’s social curriculum implement in China, and wish to know the present situation and problems.Based on the survey above, learning from the American Character Education and its features are becoming as a useful reference to China’s kindergarten curriculum implementation of the social area.As following, this paper is consisted of four parts:The first part is to raise issues.Introducing background and current the situation of the research, discussing the topic of reasons, analyzing the relevant literatures are providing a reference for further study. At the same time, presenting ideas, methods and data handlings of the research.The second part is to analyze the features of American’s Character Education.What followed are over-viewing the course of development and theoretical basis on Character Education, the principles and strategies for the implementation of Character Education, finally analyzing the features of Character Education.The third part is to present the current situation of social field curriculum implement and its problems. Mainly using questionnaire,observation,interview and content analysis,the paper reveals the current situation and its problems.The last part is to propose some countermeasures to the social curriculum implement of Chinese kindergarten.With the perspective on features of American Character Education, proposing some countermeasures that are benefit of the social curriculum implement of Chinese kindergarten.
