With the development of the internet and computer technology,especially with the development and popularization of web2.0, teaching via internet became possible. How to apply internet to second language teaching is a focus of the research.Compared with traditional approaches, task-based language teaching(TBLT) emphasize more on the process of learners’experience, self-study and interaction. These characteristics correspond to the characteristics of Social Network Service, which is an application of web2.0. So if we could take the elementary Chinese writing class as an example, and apply SNS to the field of teaching Chinese as second language based on TBLT, it would be a useful research.The author tries to figure out the following questions by using the social network as a platform to learn Chinese as a second language. First is whether learners could accept using social network as a platform to learn Chinese,and what difficulties you will face when they are studying. Second is how to organize learners and extend the teaching activities outside the classroom. Third is how to apply TBLT on the social network and get students join in the teaching activities. Last but not least, the author tries to find out the deficiencies of this research by teaching practice.
