Occupational stress is between environment and individual requirements do not match, leading to a series of physical and mental reactions. Medical staff will usually experience higher occupational stress because of the special nature of the work environment and work objects. Occupational stress not only affects the health of medical staff, but also affect their work performance, and even lead to job burnout. Resilience as a personal capacity, which enables the individual to recover from the negative experiences over and flexibly adapt to the changing environment, slow down the negative effects caused by occupational stress, and at the same time to reduce the job burnout.Purpose:This study select the479medical staffs from Baoji, Xi’an, Xianyang as the research object, aims to understand the relationship of occupational stress and physical and mental health and its mechanism. Clear the relationship between occupational stressors, resilience, burnout, mental and physical health, and thoroughly analyzed the intermediary role of resilience between occupational stressors and physical and mental health. Meanwhile, on the basis of previous studies, explore whether burnout appear only as a stress response variables, whether there are other effect and how they have an effect. Methods:This study using the "general questionnaire","Occupational Stress Indicator-2","Connor-Davidson resilience scale","Self-rated Health Measurement Scale Version""Maslach Burnout Inventory-General survey" five scales for measuring tool, through the analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis and structural equation model system to investigate Shannxi Province medical staff’s occupational stressors situation and the relationship between the four variables.Results:(1)There are significant differences of the medical staff occupational stressors in the demographic variables of age, education level, marital status, work departments.(p <0.01,p<0.05)(2)There is a significant correlation between medical staff the occupational stressors, resilience, burnout, mental and physical health. Occupational stressors is negatively correlated with resilience, mental and physical health, and positively correlated with burnout significantly, resilience is positively correlated with mental and physical health, and negatively correlated with burnout significantly.(p<0.01)(3)The pressure of work itself, the career development, organization and management, and the work relationships can effectively predict burnout; the Occupational stress relationships can effectively predict resilience and mental and physical health; resilience can effectively predict burnout and mental and physical health, and significant differences.(p<0.01)(4) Set up the structural equation model, the path coefficient of resilience and occupational stressors, the occupational stressors and burnout, resilience and mental and physical health are significant, the remaining path coefficient are not significant.(p<0.01).Conclusions:(1)The work itself and Role Stress are the main occupational stressors for the medical staff.(2)There are significant differences of the medical staff occupational stressors in the demographic variables of age, education level, marital status, work departments.(3)Correlation exists between the four variables, The higher occupational stressors, the lower resilience; the lower physical and mental health, the higher burnout; The higher resilience, the higher physical and mental health and lower burnout.(4)Resilience plays an intermediary role between occupational stressors and physical and mental health; but Resilience does not plays an intermediary role between work occupational stressors and burnout; As well as, Burnout does not plays an intermediary role between occupational stressors and physical and mental health.
