The analysis about knowledge management and conflict management overlooked the fact that the heterogeneity of knowledge can lead conflicts. Managing the knowledge conflict is an important element of the managers' work. My thesis tries to search the inner and outer factors (knowledge types, conflict environment) that influence the knowledge conflict, and uses them as the two dimensions to partition four types of knowledge conflict. Then I set up an artificial neural network which can discriminate the types of knowledge conflict automatically instead of experts. Knowing the type of knowledge conflict is an important precondition to manage the knowledge conflict in an organization. |
