With the development of world economy, and the perfecting for the worldtransportation facility and networks, international freight forwarder industry indicatesevident energy and potential.In China, international freight forwarder industry only experienced aroundtwenty years. But lots of advanced management thought and professional skills wereintroduced into China by cooperating with foreign celebrated forwarder. It improvedour Chinese forwarder's working procedure, running methods, and service qualitygreatly. And also reduced the distances between China international freight forwarderindustry and developed country's. However, most of the forwarders in the market arelimited in scopes, have no fames in the world market, and no strong competencies. Atthe end of 2005, China freight forwarder market is open to the whole world totally asper WTO guarantee. Facing to the intense competency, China international freightforwarders have to discover their own competence, and then provide different andspecific services;cultivate the thought of modern logistics according to theirseparated specialties.The information system for China international freight forwarder industry hasn'tbeen built up. And there's no authoritative segment for freight market. So mentionedarticle present a rough classification for China international freight forwarder basedon their sep-up background and business advantage.Different enterprises have different strategies. For example, traditionalforwarders have strong strength, broad network, and professional stuff. But they'renormally single-crop farming. So the compatible strategy is exploiting specific serviceproduct and being multi-industry. Regarding carrying trade, they have moreadvantages in freight charges and information feedback, but the service quality is notgood. So they should segment the markets, customers and services, improve servicequality to meet the customers requirement.Generally speaking, for whatever kind of forwarders, providing integrated andspecific services is their final goal. And developing modern logistics is the best way.
