The research on competence model began in 1973 when an article titled 《Testing for Competency Rather Than Intelligence》 was published on the journal named of American Psychologist. The appearance of the article came to be the prelude of the research. Later, domestic and foreign scholars also participated in improve and applied research of the model. They brought it to the human resource management in enterprises. But the research was still academic yet and the model wasn't applied widely in enterprises. So the research of the model is significant at present.The essential of competence model is a standard to be competent for a job and is qualification for quarters too and so the recruitment is the foundation that enterprises design competence model and apply it to human resource management. This thesis is commenced from the theory elements of competence model. The actualities that scholars study on competence model in domestic and foreign are simply introduced in the first part. At the same time, the meanings of competence characters as well as the meanings and the contents of the competence model are expounded. Based on the analysis of ways in that all competence characters among the model are applied, competence model is applied to human resource management in enterprises. And then the characters of the competence model applied to recruitment are expounded. The design of the model and its application in recruitment are the emphases in this thesis. Competence model is integrated into recruitment in enterprises actually through it is combined with the contents, processes and methods of recruitment.
