After china enters into WTO, Finance has opened gradually according to the arrangement. Commercial Bank, As the main financial institution in China how to face the challenges in the future has been increasingly concerned. Grown up under the political protection of Chinese government for a long time, Chinese banks, especially the commercial bank will face great challenges with foreign bank's coming and domestic banks also.With the introduction of successful experiences of bank reforms in western countries, bank reengineering as an innovative way has been put forward to apply in commercial bank. Given the fact that most banks have the same business operation, different practical process is the main factor. Therefore, Business process and organization reengineering has been considered as the the most efficient way to improve the rival ability. There are some literatures about the bank reengineering. But they tend to be descriptive, less operative, and most applied to manufacturing enterprises.In chapter one, it introduces the research of the background and the necessity of Chinese commercial banks carry on reengineering. Chapter two, introduces the theories about bank reengineering , some definitions about work flow and organization and relations of two parts. Chapter three, analyzes the disadvantages of current business process of commercial bank, divides the overall business process into front, middle and back three parts to reengineering. Chapter four, organization reengineering with inner and external to make it flat and cut off many unnecessary ranges. Chapter five, others conditions that fit for the bank's business process and organization reengineering.
