China is the biggest developing country in the world. The labor-surplus dual economic structure is the main characteristic of our country economic system. The surplus labor transfer from agricultural department to industry department is the core progress of the dual economic structure transforms. Discussing the primary factors that affect this progress has important theoretic and practical significance to promote our country's dual economic structure transformation and to promote our country and even the world's economical development.Through constructing the theoretical model of agricultural surplus labor force's transfer, this article has analyzed the primary factors and their influence to this transfer progress in our country. The main content of this research contains five parts. Part I defines main concepts and main measurement indexes and measures the present situation and its transformation tendency roughly in our country. Part II describes the dual economic system's circulation and constructs the theoretical model of agricultural surplus labor transfer. Part HI analyzes the quantity and the speed of surplus labor force released by agriculture department. Part IV analyzes the quantity and the speed of surplus labor absorbed by industry sector. Part V summarizes the conclusions and puts forward the proposals. The main conclusions as follows:(1) It has important theoretic and practical significance to discuss the primary factors that affect the agriculture surplus labor force's transfer on account of the high degree of dual economic structure.(2) The quantity transferred from agricultural to industry is affected by marginal product of labor in agriculture, marginal agricultural surplus, average agricultural surplus and real wage, marginal product of labor in industry.(3) The agriculture department is not the principal aspect of the factors that affect the agricultural surplus labor force's transfer. From 1997 to 2004, the agriculture department has Approximately 126 million surplus labor forces and their marginal product of labor is equal to 0. The quantity of surplus labor forces has a fast growth tendency.(4) The industry sector is the principal aspect of the factors that affect the agricultural surplus labor force's transfer. The main reasons that cause the labor force absorption rate about 0, the average velocity is only 0.02, lie in: Although the positive rate of capital's rise which promotes the labor force absorption, the real wage rising, the speed of Hicks-neutral technological progress...
