Development And Alteration Of Wholesale Business In China And Analysis Of Causes

Along with the changes of external condition, in the 1990s of twentieth century, some phenomenon emerging in the development of wholesale business had attracted the attention of scholars and certain governments. From the officially announced statistical data, the wholesale business scale as well as the employed population had shown a "withering" tendency. Some scholars thus put forward viewpoints as "Wholesale Withering", "Wholesale Useless" and such kind of other views to deny the function of wholesale.Focusing on such "Withering" or "Useless" points, this thesis, starting with the emergence and development of wholesale business, grasping the factors influencing the development of wholesale, i.e. alteration of retailing and manufacturers, has analyzed the periods of wholesale's development in China and concluded the causes for alteration of wholesale business by using both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
