As an important way to enlarge employment channel, entrepreneurship is becoming more important under the context of increasingly growing employment pressure. But as entrepreneurship is an activity with high risk, entrepreneurship education is getting much more important, and as the core of entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial learning has been the key issue of research. On the other side, E-learning is developing rapidly, however, today's E-learning system can only satisfy learners with primary need. How to well match learners'individual characteristics, such as knowledge level, with learning content is a focusing topic in related research. Moreover, the research of entrepreneurship education in the context of E-learning is very rare, needing more theoretical work. Based on the purpose of E-learning application in entrepreneurship education, this research investigates the process and mechanism of entrepreneurial learning on the basis of adaptive learning theory, and learners'metacognition's effect on the process. This research explores the patterns of entrepreneurial learning and supplements related theories of metacognition.This thesis summarizes related literatures and points out the progress and limitations of previous researches, and then the primary theoretical constructs of this thesis are developed. Interviews of entrepreneurs and content analysis of data is used to explore the adaptive learning process in the context of entrepreneurship and related measurement tool development. By carrying out an experiment, entrepreneurial adaptive learning process and its affect factors are explored.The constructs are tested by factors analysis, structural equation model, ANOVA, and regression analysis. The conclusions are as follows:(1)Entrepreneurial adaptive learning is an multi-dimension construct, which includes two types of learning, experience learning and error-correct learning. Experience learning is composed of plan setting, action trial, evaluation and adjust. Error-correct learning includes reflect and error detection, reference and integration, and error correct.(2)Error-correct learning is much more stronger in the learning context with high difficulty than with low difficulty. In the context with high learning difficulty, error-correct learning is stronger than experience learning; In the context with low learning difficulty, experience learning is stronger than error-correct learning.(3) Entrepreneurial adaptive learning affects learning performance. In the learning context with high difficulty, error-correct learning has stronger effect on learning performance than experience learning; the situation is opposite when in the learning context with low difficulty; each learning element has different degree of effect on learning performance in different context of learning difficulty.(4) Metacognition will mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial leaning task and entrepreneurial adaptive learning.According to this research's conclusions, this thesis gives some suggestions on how to strengthen entrepreneurs'problem-solving capacity. From the perspective of individual characteristics-learning content fit in the context of E-Learning, the approach of building up the mechanism of such E-Learning system is discussed. In the end, the progress and limitations of this thesis are set forth and suggestions for follow-up research of relative topics are given.
