Since the reform and opening-up, China's private enterprises are developing vigorously under the support of national policy, which have become important components of the socialist marketing economy. At the beginning of reform and opening policy, private enterprises'development was influenced by the institutional environment at that time, which covered the defects of internal management. However, as the marketing-economy system reform strengthened, their macroeconomic environment has changed much. Especially after China joined into WTO, more and more foreign companies entered into China, which made our companies facing an increasing fierce competition. It is necessary for the domestic companies to establish and perfect the internal management system to survive and develop. The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy. The competition between companies has changed from product and technology to human resource. Human capital has become a company's core. Human resource has taken a more and more important role in the private company, and human resource management should be taken into a much central situation. It's high quality and relatively stable human resource that determines a company's development in the society, so does China's private enterprises.Although private enterprises has made remarkable progress since the Reform and Opening, the human resource management is not so satisfactory and become a basic factor restraining private enterprises'development. At present, human resource management of most of private enterprises is just at the primary stage. There are many risks in the process of the human resource, such as human resource planning, recruitment and configuration, train and development, compensation management, performance management, employee's relationship management and so on. Because of private enterprises'specialty, the risk management focuses on operational risks and financial risks and don't give enough attention to human resource risks. The human resource risks management is just random and afterwards. It lacks an institutional process management. It is possible to make the enterprise suffered unnecessary loss, even endanger the enterprise's survival. Researches on private enterprises'human resource management risks can not only enrich our human resource management theory, but also have realistic significance on the identifying and preventing risks for the private enterprises.This paper is composed of five parts. The first part introduces this paper's background, significance, objective, method, innovation and shortages; the second part is theoretical study, including the development and trend of the human resource management and the theory of human resource management risks. The third part defines the concept of private enterprises, reviews their development process and analyzes the present situation of human resource management; the fourth part researches risks in the human resource management process and gives some corresponding measures, including human resource planning, recruitment and configuration, train and development, compensation management, performance management, employee's relationship management; The fifth part put the theory into practice, takes a wedding photography company in Taiyuan as an example and analyzes its human resource management risks, which can make guidance for private enterprises to identify and prevent such risks.
