Research Of Project Dynamic Alliance Based On Contract Driving

Dynamic alliance is a new organization pattern which was brought up in 1991 with a history of less than 20 years by now. With the development of economy integration and information technology, the scale of project is larger, the technology is more and more complex, the social division is more and more detailed, and the customers' requirements change quickly. One enterprise can't afford the entire project which needs several enterprises complete the project together. Project dynamic alliance appeared under this situation and developed quickly. It was firstly applied in manufacture, infrastructure construction, and then used in more and more industries.Theories about social division, transaction costs, business resources, business core competence and principle-agency theory are mainly discussed in this paper, which establish the basis for the research of project dynamic alliance.Project dynamic alliance is an intermediate organization, which is built on base of project by many enterprises with the same object. It is also an agile organization, which is built by enterprises with different core competences. Enterprises are temporarily united by contracts to react a project. Compared to the traditional project organization pattern, project dynamic alliance has many advantages including dynamics, flexibility, sharing resources, sharing risks and core competence complementarities, and so on.There are two types of driving mechanism in project organization. One is the traditional power driving mechanism, and the other one is contract driving mechanism. Power driving mechanism is closed, compulsory, passive, which is not adapted to the complex, flexible project, and can't satisfy the development need of project management. On the contrary, contract driving mechanism is adapted to project dynamic alliance, and is becoming the main driving mechanism in project.This paper uses theoretical method to analyze, assort project dynamic alliance and to describe its building process. This paper mainly discusses how to build the alliance's contract mechanism and how the contract mechanism drives the alliance. There are four parts in the contract mechanism including task allocation mechanism, profit distribution mechanism, coordination mechanism and risk controlling mechanism. Profit distribution mechanism supplies the essential driving power to the alliance, task allocation mechanism supplies the direct driving power, and the coordination mechanism, risk controlling mechanism are ensuring driving powers.The innovation points in this paper are introducing dynamic alliance into project and introducing a new definition, contract driving mechanism. I am trying to build an entire, reasonable contract system and an alliance mechanism which is driven by the contract mechanism. I wish the research of this paper could supply some help to the project dynamic alliance in complex projects, and bring people some new realization of contract mechanism.
