With the economic globalization and informatization, tourism competition is no longer an individual tourism destination but tourism destinations' region. Form enhancing regional competitiveness point of view, it is a certain tendency to form a tourism destinations' region with closely contacting, sound division of labor and structure, which consist of tourism central cities with different scale and function, to participate in the international competition and cooperation. Silk Road is an international tourism hot line, which tendency is that tourism central cities will realize spatial integrative development. Silk Road in Gansu is the key section of Silk Road, but its' development isn't very good. It now needs new methods and things to enhance regional competitiveness. This paper contains four parts to discuss tourism development of Silk Road in Gansu, from the spatial integrative development of tourism central cities.No.1 part embodies No.1, No.2 and No.3 chapter. In No.1 chapter the paper analyzes its' background, the aim and significance of the selected topic, research region, research things, research methods and research technology. In No.2 chapter the paper discusses current situations of international and domestic research about the system of tourism central cities. In No.3 chapter the paper expounds Theory of central tourism destinations, Theory of regional grow pole, Theory of tourism circle, Theory of the spatial structure of the point and axle, Theory of progressive transmutation of urban agglomerations' regional structure.No.2 part includes No.4 and No.5 chapter. In No.4 chapter the paper calculates centrality indexes of the tourism destinations of 13 cities along Silk Road in Gansu. In No.5 chapter the paper analyzes these indexes with Hierarchical Cluster of SPSS 13.0, and adds up ancient ruins of these regions. Abasing centrality indexes of the tourism destinations, the result of Hierarchical Cluster and the concentration ancient ruins of these regions, the paper determines that Lanzhou City and Dunhuang City are No.1 grade tourism central cities, Jiayuguan City and Tianshui City are No.2 grade tourism central cities, Hezuo City Prefecture, Zhangye City and Wuwei City are No.3 grade tourism central cities, Pingliang City, Jingchang City and Linxia City Prefecture are No.4 grade tourism central cities.No.3 part includes No.6 and No.7 chapter. In No.6 chapter the paper elaborates the sustain system of the spatial integrative development of tourism central cities from macroscopic policies, situations of tourism resources and tourism economy, situations of tourism traffic and tourism talents. In No.7 chapter the paper thinks cities along Silk Road in Gansu should choice assembler program urban agglomerations to develop their tourism industry and at last will cultivate a two-pole, four-axle, five-belt, six-region total structure.No.4 part includes No.8, No.9 and No. 10 chapter. In No.8 chapter the paper sets forth that the spatial integrative development of tourism central cities along Silk Road in Gansu exist many questions about regional tourism image, tourism marketing system, tourism basic installations, the division and cooperation of department labor, benefit distribution, the protect of tourism resources. In No.10 chapter the paper gives some methods and thinking form developing the system of prime tourism destinations and prime tourism lines, sculpturing prime tourism image, the integrative building of tourism basic installations, cultivating the coordinated mechanism of tourism marketing, using ISMC Theory and tourism sustainable development. In No. 10 chapter the paper gives some conclusions.
