The emergence of electronic commerce makes traditional industry economy change into network economy, the knowledge-based economy, and causes management environment severe turbulence. The competitive advantages gradually lost around the capital, logistics and the flow of information of production and business activities in the traditional enterprises. For capturing market opportunities timely, grasping the technology trend to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, the knowledge chain management mode of operation by the Knowledge Flow and Value Flow becomes the new trend. Chain Management is which makes knowledge flow smoothly by the means of planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling in the business process and system.In e-commerce activities, the knowledge flow of knowledge chain is a complex process. It forms a crisscross network of knowledge. It is very necessary that clarifying e-commerce knowledge flow and building a model of knowledge chain management in the e-commerce play a more effective role in the successful implementation of e-commerce. In the context, this paper studies the knowledge chain management in the e-commerce.This paper includes the following aspects.-Part 1, it analyses current deficiencies in knowledge management and indicates the necessity about knowledge chain management. Combined with the traditional enterprise knowledge flow management it shows a knowledge flow management model like car. It analyses the Hollsopple M·Singh knowledge chain model in accordance with knowledge acquisition, integration, storage, transmission, sharing and the innovation process. In the end of this section, it summarizes the principles and objectives about knowledge chain management.Part 2, it analyses knowledge chain in e-commerce activities, pointing out that the existence of knowledge and knowledge flow in the e-commerce system .Accordingly, it paints a structure about knowledge-oriented e-commerce chain management, and introduces the knowledge chain management content in the e-commerce activities.Part 3, according to the characteristics of knowledge absorption, we builds a spiraling cycle of knowledge chain process model and analyses every aspect of the model. Next, it focuses on the internal characteristics and content of the knowledge chain. The application of knowledge chain management can actually realize value, so it analyzes the application of knowledge chain management in enterprise, virtual enterprise and supply chain enterprises. This is the key part of the paper.Part 4, it analyses the existing problems of the mentioned knowledge chain management model, as well as the impact sub-factors of the knowledge chain management knowledge transfer, giving the improved knowledge-oriented e-commerce chain management model. This is the difficult part of the paper.
